Fiesta del Compost

Die Fiesta in Oropesa sollte eigentlich die Krönung und Abschluss unserer Arbeit in der Schule sein. Wir wollten gemeinsam mit den Schülern einen Kompost für den Biogarten dort bauen. Hier sollte das Wissen, was wir den Klassen 1 – 6 in unserem Unterricht beigebracht hatten, praktisch eingesetzt werden. Zudem sollten die drei besten Klassen beim Malwettbewerb gekrönt werden und die Klasse 5c sollte ihr Theaterstück über den Aufbau eines Kompost vorführen, das wir bis dahin jeden Tag mit ihnen eingeübt hatten.

Leider wurde schon aus dem ersten Vorhaben nichts, da uns niemand einen großen Holzkasten für den Kompost bauen konnte. Trotz Zusagen der Direktorin und eines Lehrers diesen zu bauen, fanden wir am Tag der Fiesta nichts vor. Ziemlich traurig und enttäuscht machten wir uns an die Vorbereitungen der Fiesta, denn wir hatten lange geprobt und viel Zeit mit der Auswahl und dem Kauf der Preise des Malwettbewerbs verbracht. Obwohl die ganze Schule versammelt war, schafften die Lehrer es nicht Ruhe und Ordnung in die Klassen zu bringen. Somit ging das schöne und toll aufgeführte Theaterstück im Lärm unter und wir konnten unsere Preise nicht einmal in Ruhe verleihen, da alle Schüler sich um uns drängten. 

Einen solchen Abschluss hatten wir nicht erwartet und waren auch generell enttäuscht von der Direktorin und dem verantwortlichem Lehrer, da diese sich nicht für unsere Arbeit eingesetzt hatten, sondern wir uns eher wie eine Last für sie vorkamen. Die Kinder hingegen und viele Lehrer waren begeistert von unserer Arbeit. Trotzdem verließen wir die Schule mit einer gewissen Enttäuschung, denn wir haben nicht einmal ein “Dankeschön” von der offiziellen Seite der Schule vernommen.

The Fiesta in Oropesa was supposed to be the culmination and completion of our work in the school. We wanted to build a compost for the organic garden with the students. Through building the compost toegther all the knowledge we were teaching the classes one to six in the weeks before could be used in practice. In addition, the three best classes of the painting competition should be crowned and the class 5c should show off their play about the construction of a compost, which we had previously practiced with them every day. Unfortunately already our first idea of building a compost with the students didn't work out because no one could build a large wooden box for the compost. Despite commitments by the director and a teacher to build the box, on the day of the fiesta we found nothing.

Quite sad and disappointed we started the preparations for the fiesta, because we had long rehearsed and spent a lot of time with the selection and purchase of the awards for the painting competition.

Although the whole school was gathered, the teacher couldn't get the classes silent and in order. For that reason nobody listened to the beautiful and great play and we could not even give out our prices, since all the students crowded around us.We had not expected such an ending of our work and were generally disappointed by the director and the responsible teacher, because they had never really listened to us, but we rather occurred as a burden to them. The children, however, and many teachers were enthusiastic about our work. Nevertheless, we left the school with some disappointment, because we have not even heard a "thank you" from the official site of the school.
